Progress on Rachel's room has slowed to a crawl as Doug and two of the men from our church (both elders, no less) have been finishing the insulation and working on another house for the daughter of one of the men.
They rented a machine and blew fiberglass insulation down into the walls of the first floor under those two walls we opened in Rachel's room. Since there was nothing blocking the view all the way to the bottom, it seemed like a good chance to get some insulation into those walls that we won't be opening for a couple of years. They also took up a number of the floorboards in the attic (which is a huge space) and blew the fiberglass in there also. It was a day and a half project.

Now Doug is returning the favor from one of our helpers by helping him at his daughter's house. They had to cut back some branches from her roof and, starting today, will be reroofing the house. It is a small house with a fairly shallow slope so they think it will move quickly.
Doug is planning to pick up the sheetrock for Rachel's walls this afternoon and maybe get starting hanging it when it get too dark to roof. I'll get a picture if the work gets started.
